• Central diabetes insipidus: the average dose for adults is 1 to 2 sprays up to 2 times a day, while in children it is 1 sprinkled up to 2 times a day; lie down, the dose may be increased by the doctor during the treatment; Nocturia: the initial dose is 1 tablet of 0.1 mg at bedtime, the dose may be increased by the doctor during the treatment.

Desmopressin in nasal drops

• Central diabetes insipidus: the starting dose is 1 tablet of 0.1 mg three times a day, which can then be adjusted by the doctor.

Side effects of desmopressin include headache, nausea, stomach pain, bloating, weight gain, irritation and nightmares.

Contraindications for Desmopressin

Desmopressin is contraindicated for patients with habitual and psychogenic polydipsia, heart failure, moderate to severe renal failure, syndrome of inappropriate HAD secretion, hyponatremia, risk of increased intracranial pressure or with hypersensitivity to desmopressin or any other component of the formula.
