These exercises must be guided by the physiotherapist individually, respecting the needs of each patient, but they can be performed in a group that has similar characteristics and needs.
Directions and how to get started
Kinesiotherapeutic exercises can be indicated after the reduction of pain and inflammation. Initially, lighter, isometric exercises can be performed, without joint movements + stretching, and then small equipment such as elastic bands, dumbbells or balls can be used.
The number of repetitions of each exercise will depend on the state of health that the person presents because a greater number of repetitions is indicated when there is no load or it is light, and a smaller number of repetitions is more indicated when there is greater weight. Normally, 3 sets are performed with rest time that varies from 30 seconds to 1 minute between each one.
The total number of exercises that can be indicated varies a lot according to the person's need, and their limitation. While older people can do about 10 exercises in one session, younger people can do a set of 20 different exercises.
