Dexadermil is an anti-inflammatory and antipruritic cream used to relieve itching in cases of dermatitis or allergy, whose active substance is dexamethasone.
Dexadermil is produced by the Legrand laboratory and can be purchased at pharmacies.
Indications of Dexadermil
Dexadermil is indicated for the treatment of dermatitis, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis or allergic eczema, neurodermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, actinic dermatitis, eczematoid, food eczema, infantile eczema, miliaria, impetigo, sunburn, insect bites, itching in the genital region or anal and external otitis, without perforation of the eardrum membrane.
How to use Dexadermil
How to use Dexadermil is to clean the affected area and apply a small amount of the cream to the affected area, 2 or 3 times a day.
Before applying Dexadermil to the ear, you must clean and dry the outer region of the ear and with a cotton tip applicator, spread a layer of cream 2 or 3 times a day.
Side effects of Dexadermil
The main side effects of Dexadermil include burning sensation, itching, irritation, dryness, folliculitis, increased hair thickness, acne, decreased skin pigmentation, allergic contact dermatitis, skin maceration, stretch marks and miliaria.
Contraindications for Dexadermil
Dexadermil is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, with tuberculosis of the skin, chicken pox, yeast infection or herpes simplex. In addition, it should not be applied to the ear if there is a perforation in the eardrum membrane.
