Dexador is a remedy available in tablet and injectable form, which has in its composition Vitamins B12, B1 and B6 and dexamethasone, indicated for the treatment of inflammatory and pain processes, such as neuralgia, nerve inflammation, back pain, arthritis rheumatoid and tendonitis.
This medicine can be purchased in pharmacies for a price of about 28 reais, in the case of injection, and 45 reais, in the case of pills, requiring the presentation of a prescription.
How to use
The dosage depends on the dosage form used:
1. Injectable
The injectable must be administered by a health professional, who must combine 1 ampoule A with 1 ampoule B and apply intramuscularly, preferably in the morning, every other day for a total of 3 applications or as directed by the doctor. If severe local pain or lump formation occurs, compresses can be made with warm water, avoiding pressure on the site.
2. Pills
The recommended dose of Dexador is 1 8/8 hour tablet for 3 days, 1 12/12 hour tablet for 3 days and 1 tablet in the morning for 3 to 5 days, preferably after meals. In some cases, the doctor may recommend a dosage other than that mentioned by the manufacturer.
Who should not use
Dexador should not be used by people who are allergic to any of the components present in the formula, people with heart problems, high blood pressure, stomach and duodenal ulcers, diabetes or who have serious infections.
In addition, it should also not be used on pregnant women, women who are breastfeeding or children.
Possible side effects
Side effects that may occur during treatment with Dexador are increased blood pressure, generalized swelling, increased blood glucose, delayed wound healing, activation or worsening of peptic ulcers, changes in bones and inhibition of the functioning of the pituitary glands and adrenals.
