Agrimônia is a medicinal plant, also known as eupatory, Greek herb or liver herb, widely used in the treatment of inflammation.
Its scientific name is Agrimonia eupatoria and can be purchased at some health food stores and pharmacies.
What is agrimony for
Agrimony serves to help in the treatment of abscesses, tonsillitis, angina, bronchitis, kidney stones, phlegm, cystitis, colic, laryngitis, diarrhea, inflammation of the skin, wounds, inflammation of the throat or face.

The properties of agrimony include its astringent, analgesic, antidiarrheal, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiviral, anxiolytic, soothing, healing, depurative, diuretic, relaxing, hypoglycemic, tonic and deworming properties.
How to use agrimony
The used parts of agrimony are its leaves and flowers, to make infusions, decoctions or poultice.
- Agrimony infusion: put 2 tablespoons of the plant's leaves in 1 liter of boiling water and let stand for 10 minutes. Then strain and drink 3 cups a day.
Side effects of agrimony
Side effects of agrimony include hypotension, arrhythmia, nausea, vomiting and even cardiac arrest.
