Cedilanide is an antiarrhythmic medication that has Deslanósido as its active substance.
This medicine for injectable use, increases the strength and speed of the contraction of the heart muscle and is indicated for those suffering from heart failure and arrhythmias. Its effect is quickly perceived between 5 and 30 minutes after the intravenous injection.
Cedilanide indications
Cardiac insufficiency; tachycardia; atrial fibrillation.
Side effects of Cedilanide
Decreased heart rate; cardiac arrest; frequency disturbances; disorders in the central nervous system; lack of appetite; nausea; vomiting; confusion; seizures; aphasia; visual disturbances; cold sweating, convulsions, syncope; disorientation.
Contraindications for Cedilanide

How to use Cedilanide
Injectable use
Adult
- Rapid application (24 hours): Inject 0.8 to 1.6 mg, intravenously, in a single dose or divided into 4 times. Slow application (3 to 5 days): Inject 0.6 to 0.8 mg per day, intravenously or intramuscularly. The maintenance dose should be between 0.2 and 0.6 mg daily.
Children
- Rapid application (24 hours): Inject from 0.02 to 0.04 mg per kg of weight, daily via intravenous or intramuscular. The dose can be single or divided into 3.
