To clean a baby girl when changing diapers, use a piece of cotton soaked in warm water and clean the intimate area in the following order:
- Clean the larger lips from front to back, in a single movement, as shown in the image; Clean the smaller lips from front to back, with a new piece of cotton; Never clean the inside of the vagina;
Dry the intimate area with a soft cloth diaper.
The back-to-back movement that should be done during diaper change prevents some remains of feces from coming into contact with the vagina, preventing possible vaginal infections.
You should use the pieces of cotton necessary to clean the intimate area, but taking care to use the piece of cotton only once, throwing it in the trash next, in order to prevent infections.
Cleaning of the girl's intimate region should be done gently so as not to hurt the baby and to prevent diaper rash, it is important to put a cream against diaper rash in the fold area.
