Carvedilol is a medication known commercially as Coreg.
This medication for oral use is an antihypertensive, its action promotes the dilation of blood vessels, facilitating circulation and decreasing resistance in the vessels.
Carvedolol is also used to treat individuals who have already suffered heart attacks and have a history of heart failure.

How to use Carvedilol
Oral use
Adults
- High blood pressure: Start treatment with the administration of 6.25 mg of Carvedilol, twice a day. The dose should be maintained for a period of 2 weeks and the amount can be adjusted according to the patient's response. Heart failure: Start treatment with the administration of 3.125 mg of Carvedilol, twice a day, for a period of 2 weeks. Depending on the patient's response, the dose can be increased to 6.25 mg twice a day.
