Hormoskin is a cream to remove skin blemishes that contains hydroquinone, tretinoin and a corticoid, fluocinolone acetonide. This cream should only be used under the indication of the general practitioner or dermatologist, being indicated for women who present moderate to severe melasma.

Melasma is characterized by the appearance of dark spots on the face, especially on the forehead and cheeks, which can occur due to hormonal disorders, for example. The results appear in about 4 weeks of using this cream.

How to use

A small amount of the cream, about the size of a pea, should be applied to the spot that you want to lighten and the surrounding regions, once a day, at least 30 minutes before bed.

The next morning you should wash your face with water and moisturizing soap to remove the product and then apply a thin layer of moisturizing cream with sunscreen of at least SPF 30, to the face. In any case, excessive sun exposure should be avoided as much as possible.

If the melasma reappears, treatment may be restarted until the lesions clear up again. The maximum treatment time is 6 months, but not continuously.

Possible side effects

The prolonged use of creams with hydroquinone in their composition can lead to the appearance of bluish-black spots that gradually appear in the region where the product is applied. If this happens, you should stop using this medication immediately.

The most common side effects that can occur with the use of Hormoskin are burning, itching, irritation, dryness, folliculitis, acneiform rashes, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, secondary infection, skin atrophy, stretch marks and miliaria.

Who should not use

Hormoskin cream should not be used by people who have an allergy to any of the components of this product. It is also not suitable for children and adolescents under 18 years of age, nor should it be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding because it can harm the baby.
