How to use Kefazol
Injectable Use
Adults
- Infection (mild): Administer 250 to 500 mg of Kefazol every 8 hours. Infection (moderate to severe, life-threatening): Administer 1 g to 1.5 g of Kefazol every 6 hours. Pneumonia: Administer 500 mg of Kefazol every 12 hours. Urinary Infection (acute and uncomplicated): Administer 1 g of Kefazol every 12 hours. Prevention of endocarditis: Administer 1 g of Kefazol, half an hour before the start of surgery.
