Ginger syrup for flu is an excellent home remedy due to its anti-inflammatory, analgesic and expectorant properties, which help fight flu symptoms such as cough, fever, runny nose, headache and feeling unwell.
However, when the flu or cold does not go away in 1 week and if there are symptoms of severity such as fever it is important to go to the doctor because it may have evolved into something more serious like a respiratory infection, for example.
Ingredients
- 25 g of fresh sliced ginger or 1 tablespoon of powdered ginger1 cup of honey3 tablespoons (of soup) of water3 tablespoons (of soup) of lemon juice 5 drops of propolis extract
Method of preparation
Boil the water and after boiling, turn off the heat and add the sliced ginger. Cover, let stand for 10 minutes, add the sugar and lemon juice and mix until a homogeneous mixture is obtained with a viscous consistency equal to the syrup.
Take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day until the flu symptoms disappear. Children should take 1 teaspoon of ginger syrup 3 times a day.
