The blood type diet is a diet in which individuals eat a specific diet according to their blood type and was developed by naturopathic doctor Peter d'Adamo and published in his book "Eatright for yourtype" which means "Eat properly according to your blood type ", published in 1996 in the United States of America.
For each blood type (type A, B, O and AB) foods are considered:
- Beneficial - foods that prevent and cure diseases, Harmful - foods that can aggravate diseases, Neutrals - do not bring, nor cure diseases.
According to this diet, blood types have a strong influence on the body. They determine the efficiency of the metabolism, the immune system, the emotional state and even the personality of each individual, promoting well-being, reducing weight and strengthening health through a change in eating habits.
Allowed foods for each blood type
Each blood group has its own characteristics and therefore it is necessary to make a specific diet, as well for those who have:
- Blood type O - you need to eat animal proteins daily, otherwise, they can develop gastric diseases such as ulcers and gastritis due to high production of gastric juice. Carnivores with a strong intestinal tract are considered to be the oldest group, basically hunters. Type A blood - proteins of animal origin should be avoided as they have difficulty digesting these foods since the production of gastric juice is more limited. Vegetarians with a sensitive intestinal system are considered Blood type B - tolerates a more varied diet and is the only blood type that tolerates dairy products in general. Type AB blood - you need a balanced diet containing a little bit of everything. It is an evolution of groups A and B, and the feeding of this group is based on the diet of blood groups A and B.
Although there are specific foods for each type of sengue, there are 6 foods that for a good result should be avoided such as: milk, onion, tomato, orange, potato and red meat.
Whenever you want to go on a diet, it is important to consult a health professional like the nutritionist to see if this diet can be performed by the individual.
